Madison Story

Madison is currently serving as one of the SCQHYA 2019 Delegates.

Madison has been around and riding horses since she was born.  She had her first official riding lesson at the age of 4, where she fell in love with jumping.  At the age of 7 she moved into the western disciplines and began showing both English and Western in 2011 at local shows.  In 2014 Madison purchased her first quarter horse.  She began showing in AQHA shows in 2016.  This is when she fell in love with the association and began riding and training with Shaw Performance Horses (Kevin Shaw).  Along with riding she also enjoys playing the violin, hunting, fishing, and watching/ attending baseball games with her dad.

Madison is excited about showing her new horse Likem Lazy aka “Bubba” at the AQHA/ SCQHA shows. With the help and guidance of her trainer, Kevin Shaw, she has been working very hard in training her horse “Bubba”.

Madison is a sophomore in high school.  She is hoping to either attend Auburn University or NC State after she graduates high school.  Her career interest is in Biochemical Engineering.  Madison is also hoping to be a part of the attending universities equestrian team.
